Bellingham Beer Blog

Bellingham+Beer=Merriment

Hello world! Who, What, Where, and Why of the Bellingham Beer Blog.

My name is Kyle Langowski and I am starting a blog about beer in Bellingham, somewhat due to the fact that it’s an assignment for an English class, but more so, because I really, really, really, like beer. I live in Bellingham, Washington, where through persistent and painstakingly careful research, I have come to the conclusion there are many out there like myself in this fine city. So, here is a place we can talk about the beer to be had in our Northwest enclave. It is my intent that people from Bellingham (or anywhere for that matter) will provide feedback about the various brew choices in Bellingham and it’s surrounding areas (basically anything from Vancouver, BC through Oregon since chances are I will be thirsty and within driving distance from any of these points at some point in the next year.) So, lets talk.Cheers,Kyle

Hey Kyle,

What do you think of the bar-scene in Bellingham? I went to Boundry Bay not too long ago and it was great. Freshly brewed beer, a jazz band, and lots of folks. It was really fun. I went to another place with a lot of country folk too. Apparently the country folk in this town really like peanuts as I saw thousands of them alongside the walls and underneath all the bar stools. Lol.

so…i must start out by saying that i am a beer snob. i lived in Germany for about a year and ever since than i have grown a specific taste in beer that most american brewers cannot reproduce. But believe that hasn’t stopped me from still drinking it. I still really like american brewers, particularly micro brews. I really enjoy irish imports like smithwicks and kilkenny. I am also a huge fan of boundry bay! good stuff! like blue moon, alaskian amber, mannys pale,….i could probably go on. this is what comes to mind so far!

please, please pardon my lack of clarity! by no means did i mean that “this” bellingham beer blog of yours, kyle, is a bust. what i meant was that “this” comment of mine to your blog was a bust, since i had practically nothing substantive to contribute. i feel regretful for the misunderstanding! your blog is creative and wonderful! :-) now i will stop talking/writing/using words to communicate. the end.
